Platters and Dishes

Stock No. 421

Birch plywood and Afromosia
Wax finish.

Laminated birch plywood with a strip of afromosia make this a very attractive design. Putting modesty aside, I have to say that this is a very well made platter and one of my favourite pieces.

The ‘Big Bang’

Made from 237 individual pieces from 47 different species of timber, this platter took almost two years to complete. Click on the image for more information about this major piece

Stock No. 565

Elm
Wax finish.

After the onslaught of Dutch Elm disease, elm is becoming more and more difficult to get hold of. This platter is made from a piece of elm discovered in a garage after many years of gathering dust. Inside every old bit of wood, there is a new bit struggling to get out.

32cm dia x 5cm

Birch Plywood and Oak

Another laminated piece, this time incorporating a strip of English oak towards one side. This is a much bigger piece than the one above and would make a striking centrepiece to grace any table.
